Welcome Back Term4

Ki Ora,
Welcome back for the last term of the year. Once again we have loads to get through. To start we have athletics, School photos, education review office, Harrold with life education followed by positive puberty .
Unfortunately this means our planned tramp will need to be postponed. I still hope to get out and about later in the term possible week 7 or 8.
Maths interchange will start this week where our focus will be fractions and revision. Homework can be dragon maths chapter 3.
Reading will include a novel study and non fiction based on our environment. Our topic will be a different type of environment as we look at the Waitomo caves, their cultural value and value as adventure tourism. Homework is to find out about this amazing area and list any questions you may have.

Homework Term3

Another busy term ahead with our first class ski trip on Thursday 21 August. We would like all students to take part in one of the two planned trips. Please, if money is an issue let me know I will do my best to get all students up the hill.

This week Students have been given the task of researching a country from the commonwealth games to present information on. The post below of Scotland is an example.

Extra work can be done on the European Castle of choice. Check out Sam's work on ...
Neschwanstein Castle

Maths, Writing and Reading Interchange will start this week. Most maths groups will look at Algebra (Plan is on the links) and reading will start on Matariki activities. (see reading page)
